Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Office of Censorship and PNG DataCo Limited is intended to strengthen the relationship between the two organisations as well as building the capacity and having the technical and procedural capability to deal with cybercrime issues and particularly the prevention of indecent information and materials into and within the country via the internet that is accessed through DataCo’s Digital Infrastructures in particular the National Transmission Network (NTN) throughout the country.
With the signing today between Mr. Jim Abani, Chief Censor, Office of Censorship and Mr. Paul Komboi, GCL, OBE, Chief Executive Officer, PNG DataCo Limited, the MoA now becomes effective.
