Censorship Officers graduate from PNGIPA

Staff graduationAfter 24 years of service to the Government, Senior Enforcement Officer Mrs Poveta Posa graduates with a Diploma in Public Administration at the Papuan New Guinea Institute of Public Administration (PNGIPA) on the 10th of March, 2017.


AOP Launch 2017The Office of Censorship launched its Annual Operational Plan (AOP) on Tuesday, 31st of January, 2017.
The ceremony which was organised by the Division of Strategic Planning & Policy Coordination was attended by the Chief Censor Mr. Steven Mala, Deputy Chief Censor Mr. Jim Abani, the Senior Managers and officers from the Office.

Preliminary research on Pornography in Port Moresby

ResearchPicIt is understood from other researches on Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Papua New Guinea that the magnitude of GBV incidence is considered by some to be of epidemic proportions: 41% of men in PNG admit to having raped someone, over two-thirds of women are estimated to have suffered some form of physical or sexual violence in their lifetime, and it is reported that 7.7% of men admit to having perpetrated male rape.
